Neil was born May 7, 1956 to Robert and Bernice (Bippes) Ostheller.
He was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1975 and Utah State University.
Neil raised cattle, grew wheat, Barley, Lentils and worked at Fairfield Grain Growers and the Inland Empire Pea Growers.
He was an avid WSU basketball and football fan, loved riding horses, hunting and being on his mountain with his cattle.
He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his dog and best friend, Ellie; brothers; Jim Ostheller of Fairfield, WA., and Lyle R. Ostheller of Brewster, WA; sisters; Kathleen Ostheller of Arvada, CO., Anita Shuman and husband Jay of Spokane Valley, WA., and Roberta, “Bobbi” Peters and husband Raymond of Spokane Valley, WA; nephews: Jason Shuman and friend Kayla Logan of Fairfield, WA., Justin E. Ostheller of Kettle Falls, WA; nieces: Deborah Hansen of Arvada, CO., Julia Schafer of New York, NY and Tawnya Johnson and husband Cory of Sagle, ID; numerous aunt’s, uncle’s, cousins and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bernice (Bippes) Ostheller.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, at the Fairfield Presbyterian Church.
A reception will follow in the church social hall.
Burial will be at Latah Evergreen Cemetery.
