Upkeep before beautification

I am perfectly OK with the bond for beautifying Riverfront Park, but it confuses me that nothing is being said about the bridges. If we can’t walk across the bridges because they are unsafe, that seems to be a missed priority in my mind.

Currently, we can’t walk on the middle of the bridge by the water fountain because it isn’t safe to drive vehicles on it. And the bridge over to the arena is so bad that we can’t even look at the falls from the sides of that bridge.

So what’s up? Maintenance before beautification is my philosophy.
