Obituary: Diana, Lisa Marie

Age 20

DIANA, Lisa Marie Lisa Marie Diana was born in Spokane on September 17, 1993, to Carl J.

(Sr.) and Victoria Diana.

We lost her from this world on July 30, 2014.

She was deeply loved by all, and as the youngest, she was especially treasured by her sister, brothers and parents and her entire large extended family.

She was always a good student.

She lost her mother at age nine, and even though she didn’t show it, that greatly impacted the rest of her life.

Lisa was always quiet and somewhat shy, and was her own unique person, not as obsessed with popular culture as her contemporaries, but still entertained and immersed in the digital world.

Lisa had a tremendous social consciousness, was critical of the conceited people in society, and could not accept or understand all the cruelty in the world, and all the bad things people do to each other, often within “legal” channels.

When she did not finish high school at the very end, it was interpreted as rebellious freedom seeking, and her family respected that even if they did not approve.

Her family and friends love and miss her, and pray that she has found the peace in heaven that eluded her on earth.

Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, paternal grandparents, two uncles, an aunt and two cousins.

She is survived by her father, Carl J. Diana, Sr.; her siblings, Jennifer Diana (Wayne) Miranda, Carl J.

(Melanie) Diana, Jr. and Christopher L. (Jessica) Diana; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, on Saturday, August 9, 2014, 1:00 p.m.

Private burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
