In brief: ExamSoft apologizes to law students for delay in uploading bar exams

Sun., Aug. 10, 2014

A company sued in Spokane by law students alleging that it failed to provide thousands timely uploading of bar exam answers says it believes all test-takers were able to meet deadlines for submission.

“We worked with state bar examiners to extend deadlines as necessary, and as far as we are aware, no bar applicants missed their deadline as a result of the post-exam upload delay,” said Florida-based ExamSoft in a statement released Friday.

The class-action lawsuit was filed on behalf of Christopher Davis, a Gonzaga Law School graduate who said he experienced mental anguish after being unable to upload bar exam answers from his computer last month.

“We absolutely sympathize with the bar applicants who experienced a delay, and we again offer our sincere apologies,” the statement read.
