JACOBSON, Karen Fay (Age 63) Karen, born in Colfax, WA, April 8, 1951, passed away on July 13, 2014 near Northport, WA.

Survived by her husband, Michael Jacobson of Greenacres, WA; son’s Michael (Rachelle) Leinwebber and their three children, of Veradale, WA, Christopher Lowe of Liberty Lake, WA and Dustin (Kimberly) Lowe and their three children, of Hurricane UT.

Parents, Wayne and Ella Leinwebber, of Spokane Valley, WA; sisters, Patty Leinwebber of Spokane Valley, WA and Denise (Ed) Hill and their two children of Parker, CO. Karen is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Matthew Jacobson.

Karen attended Adams Elementary and Central Valley High, graduating in 1969.

She was a Jobs Daughter and was active in Girls Scouts.

Karen started the EWU Nursing program in 1969 and met her first husband Robert Lowe.

They married in 1972 and their first son, Michael was born in 1973.

Karen graduated from EWU with a degree in Nursing, in 1974.

In 1980 she gave birth to a second son, Christopher and a third son, Dustin, in 1983.

Later, Karen secured a position with the Spokane Office for OMAC where she worked for 16 years, until she retired in 2013.

She divorced in 1989 and married her current husband, Michael Jacobson in 1991.

Karen loved camping, hiking, swimming, cross-stitching, cooking and canning, bird-watching, looking for mushrooms and travelling all over to dig for crystals.

She will be greatly missed.
