She’s not for women

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, our current 5th District congresswoman, recently unveiled the Republicans’ bold new plan, “The War for Women.” Rodgers, the same woman who is adamantly opposed to the birth control mandate in the Affordable Care Act, has opposed women’s, children’s and veterans’ rights every opportunity she’s had to vote.

McMorris Rodgers is touting hollow policy proposals (not real legislation), which include allowing flex time in lieu of overtime. This is every employer’s dream: getting their bottom line lowered while giving women the illusion they’re free to work less.

McMorris Rodgers’ agenda is hostile to working families. Women work and they vote too, but my friends and I will not be voting for her.
