Obituary: Beecher, Leah Bernice “Decie”

Age 86

 (Ryan Britton)
BEECHER, Leah Bernice “Decie” Our Mom, age 86, left us the morning of August 4, 2014, following a battle with pneumonia.

She went to a better place, free of pain, to start a card game with all those that had already gone before her.

A game of cards is something she loved amongst friends and family.

She was born on April 4, 1928 in Center, MO and married our late father, November 4, 1945.

She resided in Spokane in the home we all grew up in for 55 years.

Not only was she a homemaker, but after raising us, she started working at Fashion Fabrics, something she loved to do along with her passion for sewing.

She leaves behind three children, Larry (Loretta) Beecher, Carol Hubbard (Gordon) and David Beecher (Lois).

She had nine grand- children, Vanessa, Claudia, Christopher, Crystal, Kelly, Tara, Brooke, Tia and Blaire and ten great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Virgil Beecher and her son, Randy Beecher.

Her Celebration of Life will take place on August 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.

In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to the Hospice House of Spokane in Mom’s name.
