Obituary: Kreutz, Thomas S.

Age 86

KREUTZ, THOMAS S. (Age 85) Thomas Steven Kreutz was born to Winnifred S. Hogan and Thomas J. Kreutz in Billings, Montana in 1928.

The family moved to Spokane when Tom was seven years old.

He graduated from Gonzaga Prep, attended Gonzaga University and was in the Naval Reserve, but was not called to war.

He met and married Helen Skok in 1953 and recently celebrated their 61st anniversary.

He worked a variety of sales positions at Fisheries Supply, AMEX, and All Sports Supply, all to support those things he loved—his family, friends, classical music, chocolate, martinis and chasing steam trains.

He’d built himself quite the model railroad in the basement of the family home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two months ago his youngest daughter Laurie.

He is survived by his wife Helen; son Tom; daughters: Karen (Shane) Thornton, Diane (David) Pickette; grand- children: Jennifer (Jason) Schumacher, Joe Wiess, Tim Wiess, Emily Thornton, Tyson Pickette, Eli Pickette and great-grandchildren: Betsy, Patrick and Toria Schumacher.

The Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Church.

Donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi St. Vincent de Paul Society.
