Initiative 1351 a jobs bill


Some of us would like to see more living-wage jobs in Washington. So we were surprised by your Aug. 15 editorial opposing Initiative 1351.

In it, you claim that hiring 7,453 new teachers, adding 17,081 school-based staff and 1,000 central office staff, and creating jobs through the construction of additional classrooms is not worth the cost.
