Open state news to comments

You should allow online discussion of some news events that come out of the West Side of the state.

The article out of Seattle on Aug. 14, “Police to citizens: Be careful what you tweet,” is one that should have been discussed by Spokane readers. Comments were not allowed on this important topic.

Please adjust your policy of denying online comments on news articles that are not classified as “local.”
