Tales From the (Record-Breaking) Trail - Jennifer Pharr Davis is no stranger to adventure. She first hiked the Appalachian Trail as a 21-year-old fresh college graduate, all on her own. Moran Prairie Library Book Club - Discussing “Unbroken,” a World War II story of survival, resilience and redemption by Laura Hillenbrand. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline and blood. Then on the ocean surface, a face appeared – Lt. Louis Zamperini. Children’s Writing Workshop - The Rosalia Branch of the Whitman County library hosts Summer Writing Workshops for children grades 4 and higher. Led by Rosalia children’s author Marcy Campbell, each workshop is one hour long and covers a different facet of the writing process.
