Plaza a “teapot” problem

What a tempest in a teapot the Spokane Transit Authority “problem” is. How do other cities handle the problem of people who don’t look like “we” do – neat and nice?

When the plaza was built, I thought “How wonderful, we don’t have to stand out in the cold, snow, rain or boiling heat to catch a bus.” The look of the people who hang out there never bothered me. People come in all kinds, and we all hope to be accepted as we are.

But there are some people who are different. If they would just stop holding their noses so high there wouldn’t be a problem. And people leaving the Davenport Hotel to go to the park can be advised to walk down Lincoln Street to Main Avenue or Spokane Falls Boulevard.
