Karen Stratton picked for Spokane City Council
Karen Stratton, a city clerk, will join the Spokane City Council.
Council members selected her from five finalists to serve out the remainder of former councilman Steve Salvatori’s term.
Stratton is the former executive assistant to former Mayor Mary Verner. She has lived in the Audubon Park neighborhood for 20 years and told council members her top priority would be to ensure that the residential character of Northwest Spokane is preserved and properly balanced with business development.
