Obituary: Tran, Vo Trong

TRAN, Vo Trong Vo Trong Tran lost his battle with liver cancer on Sunday, August 24, 2014 surrounded by his family.

He was born in Ha Tinh, Vietnam on May 15, 1943.

He married his sweetheart, Sinh in 1969.

He served on the Republic of Vietnam - Special Sea Force called Biet Hai during the Vietnam War.

Vo’s family immigrated to Spokane, Washington in 1979 where he spent most his career as a technician at Hewlett Packard.

Vo was very active and found a passion for pickleball.

His joy for the game was infectious as his personality.

He loved to spend time with his family especially his grand- children.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Danh Nguyen and Hai Tran, brother Lanh Tran and daughter Terry Van Tran.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sinh Tran, his three sisters; Thuc Tran, Que Tran and Thy Tran, his four daughters; Anh Bianco, Maria Huynh, Hoa Tran and Lucy Dahlke; his son Joe Tran; his grand- children; Tyler, Kodi, Faith, Amari, Joseph, Jayla, Alexis, and Payton.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery and Funeral Center Chapel, 17825 E. Trent, Ave., Spokane Valley, WA.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 304 S. Adams Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.

A reception will immediately follow the Mass service.

The family kindly request no donations or flowers.
