Toddler hit by suspected DUI driver in Kamiah

A suspected impaired driver hit a 2-year-old child running across the street in Kamiah, Idaho, Friday evening, according to the Idaho State Police. Sarkisian G. Farnham, 38, was driving north on Hill Street when the child ran out into the road from a football field parking lot, ISP said. Farnham hit the child and an investigation determined that Farnham was under the influence something other than alcohol, the ISP said. Farnham has been arrested on a charge of driving under the influence. The toddler was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. The name of the child has not been released. The crash is under investigation.
