Saint Mary’s Gaels end 24-game home win streak for the Creighton men’s basketball team

OMAHA, Neb. – Aaron Bright scored 19 of his 22 points in the second half and overtime on Saturday, and Saint Mary’s beat Creighton 71-67, ending the Bluejays’ 24-game home winning streak.

Bright made a jumper with 1 minute left in overtime for a 68-64 lead and 1 of 2 free throws extended the Gaels (6-1) back in front by four with 10 seconds to go.

The Bluejays (8-3) had the fifth-longest home winning streak in the nation with their last home loss to Illinois State 75-72 on Feb. 9, 2013.

Kerry Carter had 19 pointsto lead the Gaels.
