Eastern Washington men play at Sam Houston State

Despite an 81-77 loss Sunday night at Washington, the Eastern Washington men’s basketball team is 8-2 and ranked 16th in this week’s mid-major poll. “I’m getting to the place where as a program, we’re not taking satisfaction in playing these games close,” coach Jim Hayford said. Tonight the Eagles are at Sam Houston State (700-AM, 4:15), another mid-major that is 5-4 with narrow losses to UNLV (56-54), Texas A&M (66-63) and LSU (76-67). Coming three days before a game at Cal, this one looks like the kind of trap the Eagles have been setting for others. See spokesman.com/blogs/sportslink for more on the Eagles.
