Wellpinit rallies past Reardan in Lion’s Club

Cameron Flett scored 11 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter to help Wellpinit rally past host Reardan 65-52 in the Lion’s Club tournament. Cedric Bowen hit a pair of fourth-quarter 3-pointers for the Redskins, who trailed 49-35 after three quarters. Brandon Reuben led Reardan with 21 points. Wellpinit (5-2) will play Davenport at 7:30 tonight in the championship game. Reardan (4-4) will meet Chewelah at 4:10 p.m. in the third-place game.

Davenport 72, Chewelah 33: Peyton VanPevenage was 5 of 5 on 3-pointers and scored 19 points as the Gorillas (3-5) cruised past the Cougars (1-7). Austin Zeller and Nathan Hopkins combined for 33 points for Davenport.

SunDome boys tournament

University 46, Franklin Pierce 30: Austin Dill and Spencer Matt scored nine points apiece to lead the Titans (5-2) past the Cardinals of Tacoma in Yakima. U-Hi has won four consecutive games.

Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) 59, Seattle Christian 43: Cameron Gay scored 19 points as the Eagles (7-1) defeated the Warriors in Yakima. Ryan Quigley added 15 for Lakeside, which is on a seven-game winning streak and will meet Archbishop Murphy 4:30 p.m. today.

Lion’s Club girls tournament

Reardan 49, Wellpinit 42: Kamille Langford and Maddie Johnson combined for 26 points to lead the host Indians (6-2) over Wellpinit. Kyra Antone scored a game-high 16 points for Wellpinit (5-3). Reardan will face Chewelah (3-5) at 5:50 tonight in the championship. Wellpinit will meet Davenport (4-4) in the third-place game at 2:30. Chewelah held off Davenport 35-30 in the other game for its third straight win.
