Halpin’s to become furniture shop

The former Halpin’s Pharmacy building is in the process of being transformed into a Complete Suite Furniture location.

Kelly and George Lawrence III sold the building at 11410 E. Sprague Ave. to Markquart LLC. The sale price of the 31,126-square-foot building was $935,000, according to the Spokane County Assessor’s Office.

Complete Suite Furniture, owned by Brad and Julie Markquart, has six other locations. The Spokane Valley store is expected to open in February or March.

Guy Byrd, of Cornerstone Property Advisors LLC, brokered the sale.

The building at the corner of Bowdish Road and Sprague Avenue had housed Halpin’s Pharmacy since 1949.
