Coroner: Idaho teen died of hypothermia

KELLOGG, Idaho — An 18-year-old Kellogg man who was found dead in a ravine near Osburn two weeks ago died of hypothermia. Dylan Parker went missing on Jan. 12 after attending a party. He called his mother and asked her to pick him up at a gas station, but he was not there when she arrived. Parker’s body was found on Jan. 21 in a snowy, wooded ravine by two men riding all-terrain vehicles who were searching for an ATV that had gone down a steep hill. Shoshone County authorities say an autopsy determined Parker died of hypothermia and that there were no signs of foul play. However, toxicology reports are still pending. Parker previously lived in Columbus, Mont., and had recently graduated from the Montana Youth Challenge Academy in Dillon, Mont.
