Age 78

JOHNSON, James A.

“Jim” It is with heavy hearts, that the family of James A. Johnson, age 78, announces his passing from here into his heavenly home on January 30, 2014.

Jim was born on May 14, 1935 to parents John and Cora Johnson in Lovell, Wyoming.

He met and married is wife of 51 years in Anaconda, MT.

They were blessed with seven children.

Jim moved his family to Colstrip, MT where he worked as a power plant maintenance supervisor for 21 years, eventually retiring and settling in Spokane, WA.

Jim loved the outdoors and fished, camped and hunted as much as he could.

Jim is survived by his wife, Maggie; two sons, Mike (Patty) and Gerry (Karlah); three daughters, Cindra (Chet), Anna (Joe) and Cheryl (Harry); as well as 22 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Bob, Wendell and Myrna.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Brian; daughter, Melanie; brother, Jack; and granddaughter Hannah.

Jim was an active member in his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

There will be a funeral service for Jim at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (808 E. Sitka Ave., Spokane, WA 99208) on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at 3:00pm preceded by a time for viewing starting at 1:00pm.
