Cincinnati hires former Idaho and Colorado A.D. Mike Bohn

The University of Cincinnati announced Thursday it has hired former Idaho and Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn to take over a program hoping to move into a more high-profile conference. Bohn replaces Whit Babcock, who took the job at Virginia Tech. Bohn resigned at Colorado last May after eight years. Prior to that, Bohn served as Vandals A.D. from 1999-2003. The Bearcats got left behind when the Big East broke up and would like to move up from the American Athletic Conference to one of the top leagues. Bohn oversaw Idaho’s transition to Division I-A in football and Colorado’s move to the Pac-12 Conference. – AP
