Obituary: Fahey, Jeanette Ann

FAHEY, Jeanette Ann January 15, 1924 ~ January 31, 2014 “Her children arise and call her blessed” Proverbs 31:18 Jeanette, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, has been called home by God.

Her spirit was carried gently to heaven in the arms of angels, soon after her 90th birthday.

She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in her home at Franke Tobey Jones Healthcare Center in Tacoma, WA.

She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Jeanette was born in Enumclaw, WA, the daughter of William and Bethel Ham.

She graduated from Puyallup High School.

In 1947, she married the love of her life, James Fahey, who preceded her in death in 1991 after 44 years of marriage.

She missed him every day.

Together they raised their children in both Tacoma and Spokane.

During those years, they were members of Sacred Heart Church in Tacoma and Assumption Church in Spokane.

Jeanette will be greatly missed by her 6 children and spouses, 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a large extended family including her nephew, Jeff Ham (Marty); and niece, Judy Schardijn (Errol) and their families.

She was preceded in death by niece, JoAnn Pfeiffer; and brother, Owen Ham.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 11-5pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel, 1002 S. Yakima Ave, Tacoma.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 12:00pm at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 7112 S. 12th St., Tacoma, with viewing prior also.

Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
