Storm’s Lauren Jackson has surgery, could miss more WNBA time

WNBA: Lauren Jackson has undergone surgery in Australia on her knee and Achilles tendon, putting her status for the upcoming season with the Seattle Storm in question.

The Storm announced Jackson’s surgery on Monday evening. The team said it was informed of Jackson’s surgery earlier in the day. The surgery was to repair a torn meniscus in her right knee and a chronic problem in her left Achilles tendon. The team said it was still gathering information about Jackson’s recovery timeline.

Jackson missed the entire 2013 WNBA season after undergoing surgery on her right hamstring in January 2013 for a chronic injury.
