Obituary: Covey, Florence E.
Age 90
She followed her husband, James C. Covey, who passed away on January 9, 2014, and her two sons, Bill Covey and Sam Covey.
Florence is survived by her son Tim Covey and his wife Joyce and those to whom she had been a mom to; by grandsons and granddaughters, Jeremy Covey, Allen Covey, Jeff Covey, Sonia Covey, Natasha (Covey) Forner and those to whom she had been a grandmother to and by her great-grandchildren.
Florence was the last of a family of five brothers, her being the only girl.
Her brothers in birth order were Ivan, Melvin, (then Florence), Don, Bob and Ted.
Florence had many memories and stories and loved to share them.
If you knew Florence you were in her prayers and if you let her know about your business she would make sure others knew about it, so then they could also pray for you.
Florence always had the last word and was quick to say goodbye, when she ended the conversation.
Any advice, criticism, or any other deed she did was done with so much love that it was hard to refuse it or be offended by it.
It was too hard for her to have her husband, Jim, gone and she was ready to be in Heaven with him.
Her funeral and her husband Jim’s memorial will be on February 20, 2014 at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA at 10:00 AM., with graveside at 11:30 AM at Pines Cemetery in Spokane Valley.
