Indifference troubling

Working in nonprofits for 21 years and helping survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and rape, it is terribly troubling to see how people are so blind to how Spokane is affected by these issues.

Also, the transient problem, with homeless folks still holding their signs to get attention, has gotten no better. The other day going home from work, I saw a man holding a sign that said “Too ugly for prostitution, money please.”

Honestly, do adults, much less children, have to drive through our streets and read such things? It feels like every day is something new, from the Date Grape Koolaid drink issue to the X-rated coffee stands.

Where does it all end?
