Obituary: Hyatt, Robert H. “Bob”

Age 91

HYATT, Robert H. “Bob” (Age 91) On February 14, 2014.

Robert H. Hyatt died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 91.

He is survived by his sons, Steve Hyatt (and wife Candy) of Casa Grande, AZ and Keith Hyatt of Bellingham, WA; his granddaughter Autumn Hyatt of Irvine, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was married for over 50 years to the love of his life, Hilda, who passed in 2002.

Bob was a devoted husband and father who proudly served his country and community.

During WWII, he served in the Navy in the South Pacific and also served in the Navy during the Korean War.

After the wars, Bob attended Gonzaga University and remained a diehard Zags fan for the rest of his life.

He retired from the Washington State Air National Guard in 1982 and enjoyed his retirement by traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Bob will be greatly missed by all who valued his companionship, zest for life, and sense of humor.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 1517 E. 33rd.

Following the Mass there will be a USAF Honor Guard service at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall St., Spokane, WA 99208.

Memorial donations to the Inland Northwest Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Foundation (509-473-3390) would be welcomed.
