Obituary: Sundeen, Eugene W.

Age 83

SUNDEEN, Eugene W. Of Spokane Valley was born June 2, 1930 in Gilbert, MN., to Carl M. and Lucille Sundeen and was called home by our Heavenly Father February 12, 2014.

Gene, as he was known by most people, completed the 9th grade in Cook, MN.

He entered the U.S.A.F.

December 1951 and was discharged December 1955.

He married the love of his life, Barbara Blocker December 2, 1955 in Newport, WA.

Gene loved fishing, hunting and camping, but he loved the LORD even more.

He drove truck six years for J & L Steel Corp., spent 13 years at Vern’s Pies as a baker, eight years at Knight Construction as a driver and mechanic, five years driving truck for Ziegler Building Center and eight years driving cars for Dealer’s Auto Auction.

Gene is survived by his wife, Barbara; three of his sons, Wayne, Jeffrey, and Steven all of Spokane, WA; two brothers, Ed of Fairfax, VA., and Carl of Perham, MN; three sisters, Lorraine Carlson and Faith Brodeen of Cook, MN, Hope Blomberg of Ogema, WI; and six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his son, John; sister, Winnifred Egerdahl; and brother, Dennis of Cook, MN.

Gene was a member of Independent Baptist Church 8019 E Liberty where there will be a celebration of his life Saturday February 22, 2014 at 2 p.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that Memorial Contributions be made to Independent Baptist Church.
