K-9 Maximus dies of cancer

Police K-9 Maximus died today of complications from stomach cancer, the Spokane Police Department announced on its Facebook page. The 8-year-old dog, originally from the Czech Republic, was assigned to Officer Paul Gorman. “Maximus was responsible for hundreds of arrests in Spokane and he will be dearly missed,” the post read.
