Pac-12 roundup: Huskies end road skid

C.J. Wilcox had 23 points to help Washington snap a seven-game losing streak on the road with an 86-62 win over Oregon State Saturday in Corvallis, Ore.

Wilcox, who had been in single digits the last two games, moved in front of Jon Brockman for second on the Huskies’ all-time career points list with 1,814.

The victory also snapped a two-game overall losing streak for Washington (15-13, 7-8), which was coming off a 78-71 loss at Oregon on Wednesday. It was the Huskies’ final regular-season road game.

The loss snapped a four-game winning streak at Gill Coliseum for the Beavers , who were coming off a 76-75 overtime win over Washington State on Thursday.

Roberto Nelson, averaging a Pac-12-high 21 points per game, had 17 points to lead the Beavers (14-12, 6-8). Oregon State trailed by as many as 25 points.

(4) Arizona 88, Colorado 61: Freshman Aaron Gordon scored 21 of his season-best 23 points in the second half and Nick Johnson added 20 points as the Wildcats (25-2, 12-2) won at Colorado for the first time since 1973, routing the Buffaloes 88-61 in Boulder, Colo.

Colorado (20-8, 9-6) came out ice cold, missing its first 14 shots.

Stanford 83, (23) UCLA 74: Chasson Randle made a career-high seven 3-pointers and scored 26 points to help the Cardinal boost their case for a NCAA tournament berth with an 83-74 win over UCLA (21-6, 10-4) in Stanford, Calif.

Josh Huestis tied a career high with 22 points and Anthony Brown had 18 for the Cardinal (18-8, 9-5).

Stanford made 62 percent of its shots, topping 60 percent in a conference game for the first time since exactly 11 years ago against UCLA.
