COMING UP: Tonight at Northern Colorado, 6:05; Saturday at North Dakota, 2:05 p.m.
OUTLOOK: It will take at least a 10-10 Big Sky Conference record to qualify for the postseason tourney, and Eastern still needs two wins to reach that mark. First up is second-place Northern Colorado, which lost in overtime in Cheney earlier this season. The Bears are coming off a 21-point loss at Sac State. UNC’s Derric Barden averages 13.8 points a game and ranks second in the Sky in rebounding at 8.2 a game. Two days later, it’s North Dakota, which is 3-0 against EWU since it joined the Big Sky last year. UND guard Troy Huff’s scoring average (19.5) ranks third in the conference.
