Four corners: Washington State Cougars

COMING UP: Friday at Washington, 7:30 p.m. (Pac-12 Wash)

OUTLOOK: The Cougars (9-16, 2-13 Pac-12) hope to avoid a second-straight last-place finish in the Pac-12 and can go a long way toward locking up the 11th spot with a win against the Huskies. The Cougars have already beaten UW once this season, and a sweep would put some distance between WSU and USC (10-17, 1-13 Pac-12). If the Cougars lose on Friday, next week’s matchup with the Trojans will likely determine who finishes last in the conference. WSU will need to hold the Huskies’ C.J. Wilcox in check. The senior guard has struggled lately, but did score 23 points in last week’s win over Oregon State.
