Announced Southern California receiver Marqise Lee announced on Friday he’s passing up his senior season to enter the NFL draft. Lee was the nation’s top receiver as a sophomore in 2012, catching a school-record 118 passes for 1,721 yards and 14 touchdowns. He struggled with injuries throughout his junior year, finishing with just 57 receptions for 791 yards and four TDs.

Suspended Minnesota Twins second baseman Eddie Rosario has been suspended 50 games for a second positive test for a drug of abuse in violation of baseball’s minor league drug program. Rosario is on the roster of Double-A New Britain and his suspension, announced Saturday, will begin at the start of the Rock Cats’ season. He batted .302 with 10 homers and 73 RBIs in 122 games split between Class-A and Double-A last year.

Undergone Nets center Brook Lopez has undergone surgery on his broken right foot, with the team saying a second procedure has been done in hopes of preventing further injury. Besides repairing the fractured fifth metatarsal, surgeons also repositioned another bone. Lopez will miss the remainder of the season and the Nets expect him back in time for offseason workouts.

Agreed Forward Andrew Cogliano has agreed to a four-year, $12 million contract extension with the Anaheim Ducks. Cogliano has 13 goals and 12 assists while playing in all 43 games for the Ducks.

Acquired The New York Rangers acquired tough guy Dan Carcillo from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2014 draft. Carcillo appeared in 26 games this season for Los Angeles, adding a goal and an assist with 57 penalty minutes. He’s known for playing on the edge and has a history of suspensions, including three during the 2011-12 season.

Sidelined Injured downhill skiier Lindsey Vonn has not skied for two weeks and will “most likely” skip next weekend’s World Cup speed races in Austria, according to her coach. Vonn aggravated her surgically-repaired right knee on Dec. 21 and her status for the Sochi Olympics, which begin Feb. 7, still remains in question.

• The Phoenix Suns say guard Eric Bledsoe will be out for at least another week with a sprained right knee. The injury bothered Bledsoe in the Suns’ victory over the Clippers on Monday and he sat out the team’s home loss to Memphis on Thursday night. Bledsoe will miss most, if not all of, Phoenix’s five-game trip that begins Tuesday night in Chicago.
