Obituary: Storment, Judith Marie
Judi was born on February 22, 1940 in Helena, MT, the daughter of Chris and Marie Sutherland.
At age 4, she moved with her family to Spokane, WA.
While attending college at Washington State University, she met Gary Storment, whom she married on June 20, 1959, recently celebrating 54 wonderful years together.
In 1965 they moved from Yakima to Rockford, and in 1980 moved to the family ranch Gary grew up on in Endicott.
Judi was actively involved in numerous community groups, such as Rainbow Girls, Campfire Council, and the Inland Empire Garden Club in Spokane; Whitman County 4-H Advisory Committee, and the Country Cuzzins Garden Club of St. John.
Judi loved singing, and throughout the years, directed multiple church choirs and soloed at many community functions, funerals and weddings.
She thoroughly enjoyed being involved and helping others, and could be found cooking meals for any function, organization or family in need, chaperoning school classes on field trips, judging homemaker projects at many county fairs, or making wedding gowns for family and friends.
For 12 years, she was the head cook at the Endicott School, where her kind, caring nature and passion for cooking and children will forever be remembered.
Together, Judi and Gary raised four children, Kim (Walla Walla, WA), Jeff (Cheney, WA), Joe (Grand Rapids, MI) and Chrysan (Grayland, WA).
Judi gave herself to her family, providing love and compassion, guidance and support.
There wasn’t a moment of her children’s lives she wasn’t involved in.
She thoroughly enjoyed going on camping trips and traveling the world with her family.
She is warmly remembered by her husband, four children and their spouses, twelve grandchildren, one great- grandchild, her brother Doug, several nieces and nephews, and countless dear friends she so deeply touched.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, January 11th, at 1:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott.
Burial was held privately in the Endicott Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, the Endicott-St. John Schools Foundation or to the Country Cuzzins Garden Club in St. John.
