Included Winger Jaromir Jagr will play in his fifth Olympic Games. The 41-year-old was included in the Czech hockey team that will compete in Sochi next month. Czech coach Alois Hadamczik announced the 25-man team on Monday. Jagr has 13 goals and 21 assists in 43 games with New Jersey this season. He was on the Czech team that won gold at the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, the first games featuring NHL players.

• Eight NHL players have been included on Switzerland’s Olympic roster, including Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Mark Streit and goaltenders Jonas Hiller of the Anaheim Ducks and the Calgary Flames’ Reto Berra. Raphael Diaz of the Montreal Canadiens and Yannick Weber of the Vancouver Canucks are also part of the Swiss defense, along with Roman Josi of the Nashville Predators. Nino Niederreiter of the Minnesota Wild and Damien Brunner of the New Jersey Devils were the only NHL forwards picked.

Agreed The Seattle Mariners have agreed to a minor league contract with catcher Humberto Quintero. Quintero signed with Seattle last July 26 and appeared in 22 games, batting .224 with two homers.

• Free agent reliever Scott Atchison has agreed to a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians. The 37-year-old appeared in 50 games for the New York Mets last season. Atchison has a 10-10 career record with a 3.64 ERA in 205 major league appearances.

Signed The Seattle Sounders have signed forward Lamar Neagle to a contract extension. Neagle, 26, was nominated for MLS Comeback Player of the Year in 2013 after he had eight goals and four assists in 30 MLS games, all career highs.

Suspended Buffalo Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers was suspended for three games without pay by the NHL for an illegal check to New Jersey Devils forward Dainius Zubrus’ head in a game on Saturday. The suspension will cost Myers $84,615.
