COMING UP: Tonight at Portland, 8 (ESPNU)

OUTLOOK: The Bulldogs face their first WCC road game and just their second true road game this season. GU has won 17 straight over the Pilots at the Chiles Center and 20 in a row in the series. This will be the last of Portland’s five straight home games to open WCC play. Portland has had the same starting unit all season, led by wing Kevin Bailey’s 17.1 points and forward Ryan Nicholas, a Gonzaga Prep product averaging 13 points and a WCC-leading 9.3 rebounds. Center Thomas van der Mars contributes 12.9 points and 6.9 rebounds. Point guard Alec Wintering (7.9 points, 4.2 assists) and Bryce Pressley (7.4 points, 3.5 assists) round out the starting five.
