More screenings scheduled for ‘Knights of Badassdom’

More screenings of the made-in-Spokane film “The Knights of Badassdom” have been scheduled.

The first screening, on Jan. 21 at the AMC theater in River Park Square, quickly sold out.

Tickets for a second screening at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 22, also at River Park Square, are now on sale. Tickets are available online at www.tugg.com/events/7504. It’s then scheduled to run at the Magic Lantern beginning Jan. 24.

The movie was filmed the summer of 2010, then sat in distribution for years, despite a high-profile cast that includes Emmy-winner Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”), Joshua Malina (“Scandal,” “The West Wing”), the prolific Steve Zahn (“That Thing You Do,” “Dallas Buyers Club”) and Summer Glau, of the cult TV hit “Firefly.”

The film, directed by Joe Lynch, centers on a group of live-action role players – or LARPs, for short – who accidently conjure up a demon.
