Stormwater clarification

Since 1994, the city of Coeur d’Alene has required new developments to use grassy swales to treat stormwater runoff. In older parts of the city, stormwater is collected in drains and flows into Lake Coeur d’Alene. The distinction wasn’t clear in a Jan. 6 story about the Lake Coeur d’Alene Waterkeeper program.
