Four corners: Washington State Cougars

COMING UP: Saturday at Cal, 1 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks)

OUTLOOK: The news that Washington State’s leading scorer, DaVonte Lacy, will be out for another month with a rib injury means that what you see is what you get with this WSU team. The Cougars showed that they can still hang with Pac-12 teams, beating Utah and nearly knocking off a ranked Colorado team. But playing well at home won’t be enough. The Cougars have played five of their first six Pac-12 games away from Pullman and will have their home games later in the season. If WSU can come away with a road win over the Golden Bears, it will be well-positioned to make a move up the conference standings.
