SPOKANE VALLEY – Friends of the Spokane Valley Library will have a book sale Jan. 25 at 9 a.m. at the Spokane Valley Library, 12004 E. Main Ave.

The sale includes a $2 bag sale and bags will be provided.

Loss is subject of church event

SPOKANE VALLEY – Eastpoint Church, 15303 E. Sprague Ave., will host, “Where’s God When,” an event featuring William P. Young, author of “The Shack,” and Cami Bradley, a local singer/songwriter who was recently a finalist on “America’s Got Talent.”

The show will discuss loss and how it has an impact on everyday life.

It will be held Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the church.

Tickets are $12.50 in advance and $18 at the door.

Fast-pitch fundraiser Wednesday

SPOKANE VALLEY – Northwest Wildfire Girls Fast-pitch Softball will hold a fundraiser from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Round Table Pizza, 15402 E. Sprague Ave.

A portion of the sales will go toward the softball team from North Idaho.

Comedy troupe to perform Friday

SPOKANE VALLEY – Improv Comedy at the Lake will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at Spokane Valley Partners, 10814 E. Broadway Ave.

The troupe creates family-friendly comedy in front of the audience and no two shows are ever the same.

Admission is $5.
