Obituary: Arvish, Maryellen

ARVISH, Maryellen (Age 63) Maryellen died peace-fully on January 15, 2014 following a courageous fight against sarcoma.

Our wife, mother and sister was a role model of dignity and grace during this difficult time.

Maryellen truly loved her family and friends.

She was warm, compassionate and always full of compliments.

She had a passion for animals, birds, flowers, fishing, camping and motorcycles.

Maryellen is survived by her husband Joe Arvish; and her children John and Jennifer Emmitt.

Also survived by her stepmother Bette Henriksen; step siblings Greg (Sandy) Giesa, Gary (Linette) Giesa, Todd (Kris) Giesa, Nancy (Ted) Smet, Debbie Ozust, Melinda (Lonnie) Synder; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father Richard (Dick) Henriksen and mother Margaret Henriksen.

Our family would like to thank Drs.

Chaudhry and Howlett and Hospice of Spokane for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Maryellen’s name to Hospice of Spokane or SpokAnimal.

A celebration of Maryellen’s life will be held Monday, January 20, 2014 at 10am at Holy Cross Cemetery and Funeral Center Chapel, 7200 N. Wall, Spokane, WA 99208 with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Our family will deeply miss our special classy lady!
