Obituary: Patterson, Robert

Age 82

PATTERSON, Robert We say goodbye to Robert Warren Patterson, born April 11, 1931.

He passed away on January 15, 2014, at the age of 82.

Robert, “Bob” as he goes by, was born in Redondo Beach, California to his parents, Everett and Matilda Patterson.

Bob was one of seven children.

He is survived by his wife, Joan M. Patterson; two brothers, Edward and Leonard Patterson; children, Joyce Fischer and husband Jeff, Steve Patterson and wife Laura, Bill Patterson, and Edward Patterson; grandchildren, Melissa Carpenter and husband Greg, Rachel Rosenstein, and Kerry Patterson-Fischer; great-grandchildren, Noah and Gabriella Carpenter.

Bob was preceded in death by daughter, Janet Patterson; and siblings Herbert Patterson, Pauline Ellefsen, Paul Patterson, and Cathy Patterson.

Bob served the USA during the Korean War, and He was proud of his time spent in the Army.

He moved from Manhattan Beach, California to Spokane in 1971 with his Wife and five children.

He owned and operated Patterson Electronics for many years, and worked for Keytronics Corp. until his retirement.

He was a man that asked for nothing from anyone, and gave much.

He spent the last years of his life loving and caring for his family, home and yard.

Bob loved to work outside and enjoyed planting and sharing his flowers with the neighbors, especially the children.

Bob was a friend to many of the neighbors over the years and will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Service will be held on Thursday January 23 at 2:00pm at Holy Cross Chapel, N 7200 Wall St. Spokane.
