He died peacefully at home on January 9, 2014.
He was married to Audrey A. Plumb for 64 years.
They had three daughters: Sandra (Rocky) Crumrine, Vicki Jeffries and Trudy (Frank) Weldon.
Gene worked for Union Pacific Railroad in his early years.
He established and retired from Western Truckdriver Training School.
He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing and hunting.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Junior Plumb and Albert Plumb and sister Eileen Walsh.
Gene is survived by his wife, daughters and grandchildren: Alicia (Jason) Munds, Corey (Deann) Plumb, Amber (Larry) Ochoa, David (Anna) Poole and Lindsay (Gabe) Burdett, numerous great-grandchildren; brothers Larry (Evelyn) Plumb, Robert Plumb and sister Betty Fesler; many nieces and nephews.
Gene enjoyed a special Christmas with his family and is now peacefully with our Lord.
A private memorial will be held by family and friends at a later date.
