Obituary: Schu, Michael Edward

Age 70

SCHU, Michael Edward (Age 70) Passed away December 20, 2013 at his home in Spokane, WA.

Born March 6, 1943 at Colfax, WA., to Edward Paul Schu and Mary Jean (Warwick) Schu, he grew up on the family farm and attended high school in Rosalia, graduating in 1961.

He continued his education at Washington State University earning his Bachelors Degree in Agricultural-Mechanical Engineering.

Following college he was employed by Allis Chalmers in Independence, Missouri, designing combines, including the hillside Gleaner.

He later attended seminary school.

Michael had accepted Jesus Christ into his heart and was a born again Christian, dedicating his life to serving the Lord.

Survivors include brothers Richard Schu of Rosalia and Brad Schu (Margo) of St. Louis, MO., one sister Mary Schu (Gary) Dominick of Tualatin, OR., several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1961, father in 1991 and a niece in 2009.

A private family graveside service will be Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Rosalia, WA.

Pastor Stewart Nereim of the Rosalia Assembly of God Church will officiate the service.

A reception for friends of the family will follow at the Harvester Restaurant Banquet Room from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. in Spangle, WA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Union Gospel Mission Ministries, 1224 E. Trent Ave., Spokane, WA.
