Viks pull out win with late rally

Coeur d’Alene staged a fourth-quarter rally to defeat Glacier 85-81 in a nonleague boys basketball game on Monday in Kalispell, Mont.

The Vikings trailed by six after three quarters, but Colby Daniels scored 11 of his 18 points in the final period to help secure the win.

Tony Naccarato led Coeur d’Alene with 21 points and eight rebounds. Justin Carpenter added 16 points and six assists.

Glacier’s Brian Michaels led all scorers with 31 points.

Sandpoint 58, Lewiston 45: The Bulldogs pulled away from the Bengals in the second half en route to a home triumph in nonleague action.

Jeremiah Gagnon led the Bulldogs with 21 points. Jayden Kauffman had a game-high 23 for the Bengals.

Girls

Coeur d’Alene 60, Glacier 46: The Vikings got 18 points from Brittany Tackett and 17 from Sara Chalich to go with four steals in the nonleague win in Kalispell, Mont.

Sydney Williams added 13 points for the Vikings.

Lewiston 56, Sandpoint 46: The Bengals held off a Bulldogs’ rally for the nonleague road win.

The Bengals led by as many as 18, but the hosts cut the deficit to one possession in the fourth behind Hailey Olin’s 21 points. Lynzee Wilson and Piage Wells scored 14 each to help Lewiston come out on top.

DeSales 55, Tekoa-Oakesdale 38: Teresa Acock scored 18 points and teammate Allison Wujek chipped in 12 to lead the Saints past the visiting Knighthawks.

Tekoa-Oakesdale’s Mattie Jo Johnson led all scorers with 19.
