Obituary: Lanphear, Leonard

Age 95

LANPHEAR, Leonard (Age 95) Was born on March 30, 1918 in Miles City, MT to Leonard and Adelia Lanphear.

He passed away January 13, 2014 and has gone to be with the Lord that he loved and served so faithfully.

Leonard leaves behind his wife of 73 years, Mary Jane; sons, Jerry Lanphear residing in Tomohon, Indonesia and Gary Lanphear of Alpine, WY and their wives; and one brother of three, Howard Lanphear of Madison, WI.

He also leaves seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Leonard graduated from Bible School in 1946.

In 1949 after pastoring, they serviced as missionaries to Indonesia in Bible School and Radio Ministry, as well as, in Hongkong and the Philippines, and then returning back to Indonesia again.

After 35 years of service, Leonard retired from his foreign service in 1983.

The family wishes to thank Fairwood Retirement Village and Fairwood Assisted Living Facility for their wonderful care and help they gave Leonard.

Also, a big thank you, to Horizon Hospice and their wonderful staff, especially those who cared so efficiently for Leonard right to the very last breath.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1:00PM at the First Assembly of God Church, 828 W. Indiana in Spokane.
