Dalton Rausch scored 19 points and Riverside held off Medical Lake’s late rally and beat the Cardinals 54-50 in a Northeast A League game Tuesday night at Riverside.
The Cardinals (5-10, 3-4) tied the game with 2 minutes left but couldn’t complete the comeback.
Medical Lake’s Tellas Johnson scored 14 points. Kevin Huggins and Andrew Kramer chipped in 12 apiece for Riverside (13-2, 6-1).
Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) 76, Newport 45: Cameron Gay scored 16 points and Spencer Reynolds added 13 points and nine rebounds as the Eagles (12-3, 7-0) pulled away after halftime and routed the host Grizzlies (7-8, 3-4). Newport’s Jeron Konkright led all scorers with 27 points.
Kettle Falls 52, Chewelah 47: Cole Wren scored 19 points and Tyler Johnson added 16 – including two game-clinching free throws late in the fourth – and the Bulldogs (6-8, 1-6) slid past the visiting Cougars (4-11, 1-6).
Clarkston 64, West Valley 53: C.J. Johnson scored 22 points and the Bantams (11-2, 3-2) recovered from a slow start to beat the visiting Eagles (10-3, 3-2). Alex Hall led three West Valley players in double figures with 18 points.
Cheney 66, Deer Park 62: Keenan Williams scored 18 points and the Blackhawks (4-10, 1-5) erased a seven-point, fourth-quarter deficit to beat the visiting Stags (5-9, 1-5). Ty Graham had 13 points and Brett Wyborney added 12 for Cheney.
Liberty 59, Springdale 44: Match Burnham had 22 points and 11 rebounds to guide the Lancers (14-3, 8-3) past the visiting Chargers (4-13, 3-8). Springdale’s Callan Ward scored 16.
Freeman 64, Priest River 42: Ryan Maine scored 23 points, Jacob Phipps had 13 and Jack Paukert dished out 10 assists as the Scotties (6-7) used a big second quarter to get past the visiting Spartans (1-12). Jimmy Koch scored 16 points and Hunter Hartwig added 11 to lead Priest River.
Colfax 70, Waitsburg-Prescott 57: Brent Becker made all 11 of his free throws and finished with 29 points to power the Bulldogs (8-9) past the Cardinals in Prescott. Keith Gfeller and Danny Robinson added a combined 21 points for Colfax, which made 12 of 14 free throws in the fourth.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 74, Warden 35: Five Broncos scored in double figures and Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (13-2) overwhelmed the host Cougars. Tyler Frederick had 15 points and seven rebounds and Connor O’Neill contributed 11 points, eight steals and seven assists for LRS.
Wilbur-Creston 54, Republic 48: Colton Magers scored 10 of his game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter and the Wildcats (11-5) edged the Tigers (6-9) in Wilbur.
Kellogg 55, Coeur d’Alene Charter 20: Jesse Lambert scored 18 points and Chrishtian deYoung added 13 as the Wildcats (7-4) opened the game on a 21-2 run and dumped the visiting Panthers (1-7).
Wellpinit 68, Northport 42: James Best tallied a game-high 26 points and the Redskins (8-7) routed the visiting Mustangs (1-14). Cedric Bowen added 14 points for Wellpinit.
