Four corners: Washington State Cougars

COMING UP: Sunday vs. Oregon, 4 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks)

OUTLOOK: It has been a bleak Pac-12 season for the Cougars thus far, with only a 49-46 win over Utah staving off the prospect of a winless conference slate. Without leading scorer DaVonte Lacy – out 2-4 more weeks with a rib injury – WSU ranks dead last in the Pac-12 in scoring at 63.4 points per game. Coach Ken Bone has gone away from his favored up-tempo offense in an effort to slow down the game and limit opponents’ possessions. He also said that the Cougars want to slow things down to save the legs of WSU’s best scorers, without whom the team often goes three or four minutes without a basket.
