Bundled up: Star, an 11-year-old dachshund female mix, left, hates cats, and Henry, a 12-year-old male retriever mix, loves cats, and they go for a stroll along Oakland Street on Thursday in Cheney sporting homemade jackets sewn from bedspreads. The pair, belonging to Jon (pictured) and Barb Ballester, go on three walks a day, often up to 3 miles per outing. Says Jon, “Henry is like a shadow by my side. Star is like a walking tornado. She pulls like a fish on a line.” (Dan Pelle)
