Obituary: Gellner, Jean

Age 73

GELLNER, Jean (Age 73) Viewing will be from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, January 24 - 25, 2014, followed by a funeral service at noon on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Riplinger Funeral Home, N. 4305 Division, for longtime Spokane area resident Jean (Cobane) (Rouleau) Gellner, 73, who passed away on January 21 in Spokane.

Born on January 14, 1941, in Ellensburg, she graduated from Connell High School in 1959 and later attended Kinman Business College.

Mrs. Gellner moved to the Spokane area in 1979 and was the first female manager for Met Life Insurance.

She was married to Al Rouleau from 1960-81.

She later married Jon Gellner in 1982.

Mr. Gellner passed away in 2007.

Mrs. Gellner, a member of the Spokane Yacht Club for 25 years, enjoyed world traveling, bingo, going to the casino and loved her cats.

She is survived by her brother, Don (Sondra) Cobane of Everett, WA.

; one son, Tom (Julie) Rouleau of Granger, WA.

; five daughters, Theresa (Rodney) Douvia of Deer Park, Eileen Rouleau of Spokane, Desiree (Monty) Madsen of Spokane, Debbie (Mike) Lieb of Spokane, and Denise (John) Berry of Chattaroy; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A reception will follow the service at the Riverview Community Building, E. 2117 North Crescent, Spokane.
